Our Onsite pathology services offered through Western Diagnostics offers a wide range of diagnostic tests, including blood tests, biopsy analysis of samples collected by your doctor, and specialized screenings (Urease Breath Test etc).
Preparation depends on the type of test. You may need to fast or avoid certain medications. Your doctor will provide specific instructions when referring.
Results turnaround can vary depending on the test, but most basic tests are completed within 24-48 hours. Ensure you have made necessary follow up appointments with your doctor to discuss your results.
Many pathology services are covered by Medicare.
There are some Tests not covered by Medicare and your health professional or Pathology provider will advise you at consultation or at collection. This could incur an out of pocket expense for tests not covered under medicare.
