Skin Cancer Screening

Skin Cancer Management
Australia has the highest rate of skin cancer in the world, and untreated skin cancers can become life threatening. A regular skin screen of skin spots and moles can prevent the onset of skin cancer and melanoma.

Dr Ola has a special interest in dermatology and skin cancer, specialising in the detection, diagnosis, treatment and management of skin cancers, including precancerous skin growths, basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma and malignant melanoma.

Skin Lesion Removals

If you have a skin spot or mole that appears suspicious, a biopsy may be required to make a diagnosis and confirm the best treatment options. Our doctors can perform most lesion biopsies and excisions onsite, using techniques to ensure you are comfortable.

Methods of skin cancer treatment available at Champion Medical Centre Road GP include:

  • Biopsies of suspicious dermatological lesions
  • Surgical excision: removal of minor lesions, skin tag, moles and warts
  • Surgical management of skin cancers.
  • Wedge resections
  • Electrocautery
  • Cryotherapy
  • More advanced and complex cases will involve the doctor coordinating your care with the secondary &
    tertiary specialist service.
